Yesterday, Jenny and I turned 21 years old! It was the type of thing this year, where I already felt 21 for maybe a month prior to my birthday, but yesterday just made it official.
Colin and I were supposed to go spend the day at Canada's Wonderland for the first time on Sunday. But unfortunately the weather network was calling for rain, so we decided that we will wait for a nice day in either June or July. That way, we get the full experience with water slides, and not having to deal with the rides being shut down because of rain.
So instead of seeking thrills, we spent the day in Toronto shopping. Now, neither Colin or I like shopping- in fact, we almost loathe it and will do anything to avoid it- especially clothes shopping. The only kind of shopping we enjoy is hunting through the racks of value village- so that's the first place we checked out. After buying some clothes for Mozambique, we went to the Mountain Equipment Co-op store and bought a 2 person tent for camping on our way to Saskatchewan, as well as in Africa.
Finally, Colin waited ever so patiently as I checked out several small boutiques, in search for a beach style, 3/4 length, white dress for our wedding. When we didn't find anything there, we gave the infamous Eaton Centre a shot, but I still came out empty handed. I was satisfied to at least have a look at what's in stores- though clearly, white is not the colour this summer.
Colin ended our busy day by eating Fish and Chips at Kelseys and reminiscing over our childhood memories. I absolutely love Fish and Chips and it was Colin's first time eating it at a restaurant (and not from a box)- what an experience!
